The developers have foreseen in SVEN Speedy all the details to make the effect of participation in a racing competition as realistic as possible. Vibration feedback function enables to feel unevenness of the road, narrow curves and abrupt drifts. A foot pedal unit is included, which makes it possible to adjust the speed as if it is a real car. For convenience, the acceleration and brake pedals are also available as paddle shifters located on the rear side of the steering wheel. Using them the gamer can control the car with his hands only. You can fix SVEN Speedy on the table with the suction cups on its base. Rubber inserts in the steering wheel provide reliable grip of the steering wheel while driving. The model has an option of setting the vibration feedback level, racing wheel and pedal sensitivity: it’s supplied with a software CD.
8-position crosspiece and ten programmable buttons on the front and rear surfaces of the racing wheel are an excellent complement to basic controls. The D-pad suits more for entering the menu or changing the camera angle during the game. The buttons are convenient for switching on windscreen wipers or headlights, if weather conditions change during a race, for using the handbrake and accelerating.
The device can operate in the digital and analogue modes. In the first case, controlling is more static, a computer processes the information from the game controller referring to the fact of turning the steering wheel and pressing the pedals. In the analogue mode, the data concerning the steering angle and pressing degree are also processed, so controlling is smoother.
SVEN Speedy is connected to a PC via USB port. The device is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8.
