SVEN Fort Pro
The emphasis in SVEN FORT PRO surge protector has been put not only on the improvement of protective properties, but on the operations safety as well. A traditional non-flammable high-impact ABS-plastic case is equipped with double-pole switches, child safety shutters and the protection of varistors against overheating.
SVEN Company presents the model of the renewed SVEN Fort Pro. surge protector. Its design and internal circuit have undergone substantial changes. At present special attention has been devoted to its reliability and safe operation. First and foremost, provision is made for the common bipolar and individual bipolar switches (i.e. which open both contacts) with the built-in backlight for every socket, as well as protective shutters to prevent cases against unauthorized ingress of foreign objects inside the case).

Design of SVEN Fort Pro surge protector
The use of SVEN Fort Pro surge protector as a commutator to control power supply to devices creates additional conveniences for the power supply organization of a workplace and operation of connected devices providing more possibilities to control the rational power consumption to a user. The bipolar disconnection minimizes electric injuries and promotes safety of connected devices as compared with single-pole disconnection if malfunctions occur in the connected devices or in the power supply network (accidents on line, lightning discharges).
Protection against impulse interference of SVEN Fort Pro surge protector is built according to the “varistor triangle” circuit with the maximum dissipated energy 1050 J, which provides protection of devices-consumers against influence of pulse interference of different character and origin. The LC filter is also used in the model, which provides more effective suppression of high-frequency interference as compared with other types of surge protectors.
The built-in bimetallic switch limits the electric load value to avoid the prolonged overload of the surge protector and damage of its circuit components in the event of an emergency. The built-in fuse limits the current to the varistor on exposure of pulse interference with high energy.
LED indication of protection operability and grounding availability is very important for the electrical safety of a user and correct operation of powered devices. The voltage display in the power supply network by the built-in voltmeter enables to alert a user to take necessary measures to prevent the breakdown of devices due to abnormally high/low voltage in the power supply network .
